The Town
of Wickenburg has two large projects that have started that may affect the
traffic around the town, the Bypass and US-60 east. We will have updates on
the website to keep you informed of any closures. In addition, Phase 3 of
the Streetscape will begin once Tegner street is a Town street instead of a
state highway. Don’t miss the Downtown sculptures
including 6 large sculptures and 16 linking pieces. The larger projects are
as follows:

Project information is available on the Arizona Department of
Transportation website. Monthly project updates will be
published in the Wickenburg Sun to keep the public apprised of
construction activities and any anticipated traffic restrictions. Please

for the most current information about planned restrictions in the area.On April 18, 2008 Governor Janet Napolitano along with
state, county and Town of Wickenburg officials held the groundbreaking
ceremony. There is also a video

Manager’s Report
Cost
Est: $33 Million
Work on the plaza area around the Wishing Well has
started. As has the plaza areas at both ends of the pedestrian bridge. The
four mature trees around the well will be removed and replaced with 15
mesquite trees. The Bypass is open to traffic. The balance of the work in
the area of the Bypass will be completed later this calendar year. It is
estimated that Tegner Street will be turned over to the Town in early
2010.
